The best blow-dries in Surrey

As a hair blogger, I want to regularly come to you, to talk about my favourite independent salons, around both Surrey and London.

It is so important that you consider what products you use on your hair and skin, as they are all absorbed straight into your blood stream. In addition, using more natural, organic and chemical-free products, will ensure for healthier hair.

I have had a busy few months, trying out some incredible salons and I am very happy to bring to you, my very first, best blow-dries in Surrey.

Hopefully you have had a chance to follow my visits over on my stories, I have been to invited to some amazing salons and I have been blown away (see what I did there) at the service I received.

So lets get to it:

• Nouvelles, Espom

My first visit took place at Nouvelles Salon, in Epsom. This is a gorgeous, cruelty-free, rustic style salon, with a coffee shop inside! The team are so lovely and friendly, I genuinely mean that and they are amazing at their jobs.

Nouvelles use an incredible cruelty-free range called Evo Hair. It is an Australian brand, made without sulphates, parabens or gluten.

The team at Nouvelles started my blow-dry by applying the Evo Mane Attention Protein Treatment Masque on my hair. This was an intensive treatment that they left on my hair for around 20 minutes.

They washed my hair using the Mane Tamer Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner and finished by using the Evo Day Of Grace Pre-style Primer, a detangling treatment.

After brushing, they applied the Evo Lockdown Smoothing Treatment and then blow-dried my hair. Finally, they styled my hair, using straighteners to curl, then brushing out with a wide-toothed comb.

My hair felt amazing. It looked sleek and glossy and they styled my hair perfectly. The brief was; glam waves and Nouvelles, you absolutely nailed it.

• Mulberry and Thyme, Epsom Downs

The second salon I visited was Mulberry and Thyme at Epsom Downs. This is another stunning, independent, cruelty-free salon.

Mulberry and Thyme use a mixture of Aveda and Davines products. Davines is a home-grown and home-made family Italian brand.

At Mulberry and Thyme, they begin every treatment with chakra energy cards, followed by a shoulder, neck and scalp massage using an Aveda essential oil of your choice. This massage was honestly incredible and such a lovely touch. Although most salons offer a scalp massage while washing your hair, I have never visited a salon that offers an intense massage quite like this.

Mulberry and Thyme used Davines deep conditioning treatment, before shampooing and conditioning my hair as normal.

Finally, they blow-dried my hair into pin-curls, added some heat and hairspray, then removed each pin, dropped out and styled using Aveda styling products.

Mulberry and Thyme created a stunning loose curl and the treatment left my hair looking totally gorgeous and golden.

• Orabella, Weybridge

My third and final visit was at the stunning Orabella salon in Weybridge. If you haven’t checked out my videos from this visit, please watch my hair highlights here, I think you will enjoy it.

The team at Orabella gave me a Keune shampoo, head massage and condition. They then used a de-tangling treatment before brushing and blow-drying my hair.

The team at Orabella styled my hair using curling tongs. Curling my full-head of hair, adding hairspray and finally brushing through with a large tangle teezer hand brush, to create this stunning beach wave look.

My hair felt and looked amazing. As they had used heated curling tongs to style my hair, this really held the waves and the curls lasted for over a week in my hair.
