Princess Pastel Hair In Less Than 10 Minutes

I had THE  best hair day on Sunday! I was invited by the amazing Sally Beauty UK team to attend a very special Maria Nila event, where I got to try out their beautiful colour refresh range! If you haven’t already, please check out my Insta highlights from the day here, where you can see everything I got up to, as well as before and after shots.

Now if you are a frequent reader, you will know that I have spoken about Maria Nila products so many times in the past, but I just genuinely love them. They have a huge range of fantastic hair products, including colour, with no nasty ingredients (sulphate/paraben-free) and best of all, they a completely vegan and against animal testing! #veganuaryforever

I was also gifted the most incredible Maria Nila goodie box, which you can check out here on YouTube, to see everything that I got inside.

On the day my stylist selected and applied the Maria Nila Peach Colour Refresh to my hair, however the process is a very simple one that you can complete yourself at home. The colour has given me subtle undertones of peach and pastel pink running through my hair, like sushi salmon balayage and I love it. So whether you are feeling Peachy, Silver, Lavender or Pink Pop, here is an easy step by step guide you can follow to achieve colour refresh at home.

Step 1.

Choose your colour. Maria Nila sell a huge range of colour refresh products which you can buy here through the Sally Beauty website. All colours are semi-permanent so will wash out fairly quickly. This is perfect for a glam event or festival, especially if you do not want to get in trouble at work for rocking up with a purple do.

Step. 2

Once you have selected your look, jump into the shower and wash your hair. To ensure you are doing this correctly, check out my hair washing blog here. Shampoo your hair twice, then towel dry.

Step 3.

Once you have removed all excess water, apply the colour refresh product to your whole head of hair. Splitting into sections to ensure nowhere is missed, gently massage the product from the top of your head, down through the ends of your hair.

Step 4.

Leave the colour to set for 3-10 minutes. This will really depend on how quickly your hair takes the colour so just keep an eye.

Step 5.

Rinse away the colour refresh product, condition your hair as normal and you are finished. Dry and style your hair as you wish and you will be totally Princess pastel colour refresh ready! Best. Day. Ever.

I would love to see your styles so please tag me on Insta and hashtag – #pennysponytale so I can stay up to date with your vegan look.

Your hair is amazing! I’ve been using semi-permanent colours recently to try and repair my damaged hair (I change my hair colour far too frequently). I’ll definitely be trying out Maria Nila products xxx

Your hair looks absolutely beautiful! I love the shade, and the fact that its semi permanent and not tested on animals. I’ve been wanting to go lighter (again) for a good few months now so I think its time to take the plunge and try out some Maria Nila products!
