Top 3 long lasting hold hairsprays this holiday season

It is Christmas tomorrow!! Oh my goodnesssssssss… Where has this year gone? December has completely flown by and I have never been more excited as we are hosting in our lovely home.

So as the festive cheer is well and truly upon us and the Christmas parties are in full swing, I wanted to use this opportunity to give you some hair advice for those, who like me, always have a new outfit and freshly styled hair for Christmas Day… and of course, Mr Claus.

There is nothing better than a great blow dry, ey girls? And with a busy few days ahead, I need a style that will dazzle but more importantly, a hairspray that will hold. You may have seen on my Instagram recently, I had some lovely beach waves for my work Christmas party, which I absolutely adored! However, as I am about to start a full day of cooking prep, I need a look that is slightly quicker and easier to create, so I am thinking of going with my trusty loose curls.

Regardless of the hairstyle, if you want that style to stick, you need a great hairspray. So here are my top 3 rated for the end of 2018/beginning of 2019 celebrations.

No. 3

You really cannot go wrong with a TRESemmé hairspray. They offer a fantastic hold, as well as controlling frizz. This Salon Finish Extra Hold is my go to before any night out. It really is long lasting and is only currently £1.89 from Boots. Although this is a great styling hairspray, it can leave your hair looking a little too stiff, so be careful not to apply too much.

I picked up this hairspray when I was last in Toronto and I really do not want it to come to an end. Although a trip back to Canada to restock is also totally fine. This Marc Anthony Extra Hold hairspray has a slightly lighter consistency (it doesn’t completely choke you when you spray) as it is made with argan oil, so smells absolutely delicious. It leaves your hair looking slick, whilst also looking natural, so nothing sticky! I use this hairspray for more of my day to day styling, as it’s hold is good, but not the strongest I’ve ever had. Nonetheless I still love it, it smells and feels great and I would highly recommend this product. If you want to try some for yourself, I found this product online here for only £7.16!

So this seasons winner, has to be, TRESemmé, again. This Salon Touchable Feel hairspray, really does what it says on the tin. It is a fine hairspray with a fantastic hold and it does not leave your hair looking sticky or stiff. This TRESemmé product creates a natural looking style with a hold that lasts until my next wash, even after multiple brush throughs.
