A few of my hair growing tips

A few of my hair growing tips

As you may know, I have very long, thick, blonde hair, a mane is probably more accurate. I am so so lucky but it is such hard work to look after! I get asked a lot of questions about my hair, so I thought I would tell you a little more about it.

I have had long hair for well over 10 years now, growing up I would say my hair was slightly below shoulder length, however it was when I reached University that it very suddenly seemed to Rapunzel on me. I try to take the time to care for my hair as much as possible and here are just a few tips on how I do it:

  • 1. Keep it conditioned! Conditioning your hair is very important, do not be afraid to layer this on. Although this can cause your hair to look greasier quicker, conditioning will keep your hair soft, smooth and help hair breakage. There is so much more to talk about with regards to conditioning your hair, so I promise I will be writing another post dedicated to this soon.

    2. No heat! I know what I am about to say is SO much easier said than done, however as much as possible, try to allow your hair to dry naturally. I look like Mufasa the lion when I do this, so I understand the struggle is real, however this is genuinely my saving grace for hair growth. Whilst at University, I went through a stage where I loved the natural beach waves look. I wasn’t killing my hair with blow dryers or straighteners daily, and it was then that my hair had its major growth spurt.

    3. Finally, if you really cannot resist the heat, then at least make sure you get yourself a decent heat protector. You should be applying this to your hair before any type of hot hair styling. You will fry your hair so quickly without this, so look after it!

These are some simple steps that I follow to maintain my healthy hair growth and there will be much more to come from me on this topic. Are any of the tips above relevant to you? Get in touch and let me know your experiences and your personal top hair growing tips.
